  • I have been in the dental field since 1972 when, as a baby, I assisted in orthodontics and oral surgery. After that, I segued to general dentistry, began administrative duties, and now oversee all the operations of the office; which would include happily acting as the “mom away from mom” of our dental family. I feel like I’ve been around since dinosaurs roamed the Earth but this only adds to my accumulated and varied experience.

    In my off hours, I enjoy hiking, golf, cooking, and photography, but not necessarily in the order. Most of all, I love playing with my grandson.

  • I am one of the newest members joining the team in June of 2010. Previously, I was a full-time mom raising my two daughters right here in Poway. I am learning so much about dentistry and I’m enjoying every minute of it.

    Due to my involvement with my daughters’ schools and their activities I have acquired the nickname of “Mayor Sharpe” at the office because I have had the privilege of meeting many of Poway’s wonderful students and parents. Would you be one of them? When my time is my own, I love going to movies with anyone who will go with me and spending time with family and friends.

  • I joined the practice of Drs. Langenbach and Thomas in November, 2006 with over 17 years of experience. In 1994, I earned my Registered Dental Assistant license and maintain my accreditation even though I am no longer working chairside. After training to learn the nuances of dental insurance, I fulfill the role of Insurance Coordinator and help with general administrative duties.

    In my free time, I enjoy hiking, biking, and spending time with family. I am known as the best shopper in the office. Trust me to find a bargain, so if you’re in need of a personal shopper, just let me know!

  • Working as an assistant when I was younger lead me to pursue a career in dental hygiene. Graduating from Northern Arizona University in 1985 with a BA in Dental Hygiene, I started working here in 1995 with a small respite to have my third (and last).

    My other career as wife and mother is filled driving to soccer, football, basketball, volleyball, and softball. Any extra time is spent camping and riding quads and buggies when I’m not volunteering at school and church.

    It is a pleasure and an honor to be affiliated with this team. I am proud of the dentistry provided for our patients by the team at Drs. Langenbach and Thomas.

  • I was born in Torrance, California and had a hygiene career suggested to me when I was 15 years old by my mother. I took her suggestion, graduating in 1992. Mother did, in fact, know best. Along the way, I met a cute boy who became my future husband and joined him in his job relocation to San Diego. I’ve been here since 1998 and have no desire to go anywhere else.

    Come in and I’ll tell you about that cute boy who is now my husband while I’m cleaning your teeth. You can bring music or earplugs, many people do for some reason.

  • In 1995, I became a Registered Dental Assistant and have been with this office since 1999. I work in direct patient care and, since developing special relationships is important to me, my job brings me a great deal of joy and satisfaction. I bring a lot of energy and enthusiasm to my job and I’m known for entertaining my patients.

    I moved to San Diego in 1979 and have since met and married my Junior High School sweetheart. We have a son who joins us when we go snowboarding, skiing, riding dirt bikes, and the go to the beach. Our getaway is going to the desert with friends and riding until the sun goes down.

  • As a San Diego native, I became interested in dental assisting after working with my mother in her office when I was 14 years old. After attending UEI in 2005 and achieving my RDA, I joined the wonderful team of Drs. Langenbach and Thomas in April, 2007.

    Working with the doctors has allowed me the opportunity to expand my knowledge and, therefore, my duties with continuing education in the latest technologies. I embrace this to the fullest.

    I enjoy running, cooking, watching football and playing with my friends. When you come in, I’ll probably have a great weekend story and a bruise to go with it!
